What's the difference between FUE and FUT (HDHG)?

FUE (we use the ARTAS Robotic system and our WAW Duo technique) extracts individual follicular units one by one — no linear scar, faster recovery. FUT, our trademarked High Density Hair Grafting (HDHG), removes a strip from the donor area and dissects it into individual grafts under microscopes — it's often the highest-value option for patients needing larger sessions. Dr. Slusher will recommend the technique that gets you the best long-term result.

How long until I see results?

New growth typically begins as early as month 4, with most patients seeing significant change around month 6. Full, mature results are usually visible at 12–14 months. From there, your transplanted hair continues growing permanently — just like the rest of your hair.

Is the procedure painful?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you'll be comfortable throughout. Most patients describe it as surprisingly easy — many watch TV, listen to music, or nap. Mild tenderness for a few days afterward is normal. Most patients are back to normal activity within about 10 days.
